Durward K. Sobek
Mr. Sobek established the architectural firm “Space Planning for People” in 1974 based on the premise of a personal relationship with each client, providing care and sensitivity in the planning of each project undertaken. His background in the construction industry and his prior association with various other architectural firms provided the technical knowledge and ingenuity Mr. Sobek brings to the development of each design enterprise.
As Principal Architect and Owner of Space Planning for People, Mr. Sobek applies hands-on task management for each phase of a project. From Facility Planning solutions, including Master Planning and Space Programming, thru to Post-Occupancy Services and evaluations, he continues to make personal service the number one priority of the firm. He directly involves himself in every project, maintaining a high standard of service to each client.
Mr. Sobek’s more than thirty years of private practice have given him the belief that responsible and disciplined teamwork in the planning and building process leads to a facility that reflects the Owner’s individual personality and an endeavor which is a pleasure for every project participant.
