CONTROL BUILDING
CENEX-HARVEST STATES REFINERY
CHS hired Space Planning for People to design, outside the perimeter of the plant itself, a new Central Control Building. As this facility represents the "heart" of the refining operations, the Control Center has been designed to remain operational throughout any emergency. Thus, the enclosure is of blast-resistant design, and back-up power generators are provided.
Despite the high degree of specialized research required for this unique facility, the building was programmed, designed, bid, and constructed within fourteen months. |
